Diversified Estate Services has identified a top Estate Planning Attorney and a top CPA, and created a very unique partnership. While the Attorney and CPA do not work for Diversified Estate Services, LLC they work hard for any of our current or potential clients.  What this provides is a “team” approach to your financial, tax, and estate planning needs. During your first visit to our office, an “evaluation,"( if determined necessary) will be scheduled wherein Diversified Estate Services will analyze your current investments, the Estate Planning Attorney will review all of your estate documents, and the CPA will review your last 3 years tax returns. Because of our relationships, you will benefit from the thorough analysis of all of your financial and estate planning needs. And, we are able to offer a much more cost effective alternative to having these services performed, versus by otherwise independent selection.
Our “team” approach is the collaboration of time spent with each of us. Therefore, you will not repeat steps you would normally would by meeting with each specialist separately. This offers a savings we are able to pass onto our clients. If you are looking for a fee-based financial advisor please feel free to contact us for a no cost, no obligation talk.

We specialize in working with pre-retirees and retirees, requiring assistance with transitioning into retirement, rolling over their qualified retirement plans or assistance with a pension, creating a distribution plan, as well as improving upon their existing retirement plan.  Please visit our partner site, www.protectyourira.com for more information on, IRA, 401k rollovers, 403b rollovers, and other retirement accounts.

We’re here to help educate you about the basic concepts of financial management; to help you learn more about who we are; and to give you fast, easy access to market performance data. We hope you take advantage of this resource and visit us often. Be sure to add our site to your list of "favorites" in your Internet browser. We frequently update our information, and we wouldn’t want you to miss any developments in the area of personal finance.

Thank you,

Settling on a Salary

As a company's profit situation improves, business owners may be in a position to decide whether to take home a larger salary or use more of the proceeds to invest for the future. This article discusses the possibility of choosing a business-owner salary that allows for other benefits, such as building the business, saving more for retirement, and adding employee benefits.

Deciding When to Begin

Waiting until full retirement age (or up to age 70) to claim Social Security may result in significantly higher monthly benefits. At age 62, the earliest age to claim Social Security, the amount received could be only 70% of the benefit received at "full retirement age" (which ranges from age 65 to 67 depending on year of birth).

Growth, Value, or Both

The average annual return for large-cap value stocks was about 2.1% higher than for large-cap growth stocks, yet growth stocks outperformed value stocks in 13 out of 30 years. This article examines the difference between the two approaches and describes why holding both may help investors take advantage of a variety of market conditions.

There’s Still Time to Catch Up

Worker confidence in affording a comfortable retirement fell to a record low in 2011, but investors aged 50 and older may be able to make up for lost time by maximizing contributions to retirement plans and taking advantage of catch-up contribution limits. The accompanying chart shows the potential difference in accumulation by taking advantage of catch-up contributions.
